What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medicaid Liaison position at Genesis?
The Medicaid Liaison is responsible for completing Medical Assistance applications for new Medicaid Pending patient admissions and residents converting to Med Pending from another payer.
This position will handle all processes related to the application, which includes gathering documents from various sources, submitting the Medicaid application, and tracking cases to approval or denial. In addition, the Liaison will assume ownership of the nursing center's outstanding Med Pending Accounts Receivable and continue to work cases and all balances until cleared from aging.
Position Highlights
*Assigned to two or three primary nursing centers but will be expected to assist with other nursing center's caseload as needed.
*Remote position but will be expected to visit nursing centers as needed to meet with families and/or center staff.
*Interface with patient family members/representatives, nursing centers staff, county agencies and other external contacts including attorneys and guardians.
