Back-End Developer - Snowflake

Genesis10 is seeking a Back-End Developer - Snowflake with our financial services client in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL. This is a twelve-month possible contract to hire hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite.

Summary and responsibilities

• Provide development effort for projects like Datamart's, Client Analytics.
• Administrate Snowflake accounts and support Snowflake control plane to enable Snowflake tenants workloads.
• Work in an Agile methodology to provide expertise and share the best software development practices with the team.
• Collaborate with product owners, quality engineers and cross functional teams to provide solutions and solve design and architectural problems.
• Ability to do quick proof of value for upcoming Snowflake cloud features.

Required skills

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Expertise on Snowflake is a must and should be able to administrate Snowflake DB and should know Snowflake Information metadata schemas and Snowflake internals.
• CI/CD DevOps and work experience with Gitlab and automation.
• Integrate snowflake with different BI tools.
• SQL experience.
• Distributed cloud services (preferably Azure).
• Distributed data loading (Kafka, Snowpark, and Spark).
• Working knowledge of relational and in-memory databases: Oracle, Vertica, and Hazelcast.
• Must be well versed with authentication and authorization in cloud services.

Preferred skills

• AI/ML experience
• Financial Domain knowledge.
• Investment industry knowledge.

This position pays $75/hr -$80/hr W2 depending on experience
