Genesis10 is currently seeking a Blockchain/Smart Contracts IT Audit consultant with our financial services client in their Salt Lake City, UT location. This is a 3 month and onsite contract position.
Summary:
Consultant will be focusing on IT Audit fieldwork related blockchain & smart contract technology. Performing walkthroughs with stakeholders to perform control design assessments and presenting results of work performed to management. Identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment. Follow-up on open audit issues and their resolution

Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess Client risks related to Blockchain and Smart Contracts.
- Test IT Controls and identify gaps where system controls need enhancement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to understand their businesses in the Digital Assets space and related use of blockchain and smart contracts.
- Assist with regulatory examinations, execute internal audits.
Requirements:
- Understanding of blockchain technology (including how to operate nodes on blockchain) , how to build technology platforms to operate with smart contracts and tokenization.
- Experience in audit and or risk/compliance related to blockchain and or smart contracts
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills with a focus on effective teamwork as part of a global team and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions and regions. Ability to influence other stakeholders and effectively perform challenge function, evolving the status quo; continuously enhancing the control environment.
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex workflows and the ability to articulate issues to a diverse group of stakeholders via influential presentations, metrics, and reporting.
- Proven project and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously as an effective risk manager.
- Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing Risk and Compliance controls related to Digital Assets, including conducting risk assessments and development of controls.
- Ability to read smart contracts to identify any potential vulnerabilities
- Prior Experience building risk frameworks for block chain
- Ability to translate Client regulatory requirements into practical guidance and action plans for the firm, keep pace with changing and Client regulatory environment.
