Desktop Support / PC Refresh Consultant

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Desktop Support Specialist with our client located in Washington, PA. This is a 4-month onsite role for a Windows 10 to 11 refresh project.

Pay rate: $18-25/hr

Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday. Some OT will be required.

Job Description:

A Desktop Support Specialist, or Desktop Support Engineer, provides technical assistance to customers regarding various hardware and software applications. Their main duties include troubleshooting and diagnosing different technical issues, assessing and understanding user needs and issues and recommending technical fixes to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate scheduling of end user PC replacement
• Communicate effectively with end users and store leadership on refresh process via email and phone
• Field inbound calls and assist end users in setup and configuration
• Maintain accurate and timely Asset Management records of all client IT Hardware
• Procure, build, configure and deploy client IT Hardware
• Partner with Level 2 & 3 IT Teams as appropriate to identify and maintain the client Standard Technologies Service Catalog, build process documentation and approved configuration standards
• Assembly and break/fix troubleshooting of PC hardware and peripherals, related to PC refresh project
• Daily follow up and escalation as appropriate to ensure the timely return of all break/fix hardware
• Participate in the EOL disposition for retired IT Hardware assets
  
  

Requirements:

• Ability to work in the South Hills, Washington, Canonsburg, Bridgeville area.
• Personable / strong communication skills / Outgoing / Friendly
• IT degree, IT internship or interest in getting into IT
