Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building and maintaining software written in Python within the client's Quartz environment
- Work with Business Analysts understand user requirements and to implement solutions to deliver data to internal consumers using our existing frameworks
- Leverage Python to build components in our stack
- Provide data critical to many aspects of the Firm's activities including Trading & Risk Management as well as middle office, back office, and regulatory reporting
- 8 years of Python development experience
- 5 years of experience in investment banking
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of Python Object Oriented Development
- Experience in real time messaging, SQL experience
- Problem solving skills with an ability to address performance issues
- Experience working with Quartz application development or similar such as Athena or SecDB
