Senior Red Hat Linux System Administrator

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Red Hat Linux System Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX, Richmond, VA and Chandler, AZ. This is a 12 month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Senior level Red Hat Linux System Administrator to perform triage of business impacted incidents, restore incidents to meet service level agreement
• Duties include 9x5 incident support, triage LEAPP upgrade failures, rollback of LEAPP upgrade root cause analysis, and escalation of critical issues, execution of scheduled activities

Requirements:

• 10 years of hands-on experience supporting Red Hat Linux (6/7/8/9)
• Experience on supporting Client, Dell x86 hardware platform
• Experience on supporting LEAPP in-place upgrade
• Strong experience in Red Hat Linux System Administration, Hardware Troubleshooting, configuration, and performance monitoring and tuning experience
• Solid troubleshooting skills to triage with different technology partners
• Good communication skills - audience centric and adjustment to different audience levels
• Understanding of SAN/NAS technology and experience to support server-side related issue
• Understanding of TCP/IP and ability to troubleshoot latency or performance issue
• Red Hat Cluster Services Certification
• Experience managing a large global environment consisting of 55,000 or more Linux virtual servers
• Understand and follow the ITIL incident/change/problem management process

Desired skills:

• Experience supporting LVM
• Experience in supporting DMZ environment and familiar with IPsec

Pay range: $53.52 - $61.52
