Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau Server
- Monitor Tableau Server performance and ensure high availability
- Manage user permissions, data security, and governance
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau Server issues
- Implement best practices for server management, including backup and disaster recovery
- Collaborate with IT and BI teams to integrate Tableau Server with other data systems
- Provide training and support to Tableau users
- Proven experience as a Tableau Server Administrator or Architect
- Strong knowledge of Tableau Server architecture and administration
- Experience with server performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Understanding of network security and data governance principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
- Experience with standing up and maintaining Tableau Server in Microsoft Azure (cloud), Windows, and Linux
- Experience with industry BI/Reporting toolsets including Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Starburst
- Experience with connecting to Hadoop, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Netezza, Teradata, and SQL databases
- Experience with Data Science integration and application (Python, R)
- Experience with ETL tools (Trifecta, Alteryx, SSIS, Starburst)
- Experience with programming languages (Python, APIs, Web Data Connectors, Tableau Extensions, JavaScript)
- Experience with Financial services data and large data volumes
