The Medical Oncologist uses chemotherapy and other medications to treat cancer patients.

What youll do :

• Meets with patients to determine diagnosis, stage of cancer, various treatment options and assist with palliative options to ensure comfort of patient.
• Explain cancer development stages to patients, discuss treatment options and assist in pain management.
• Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition.
• Coordinate treatment plants with other physicians to ensure cohesion of care.
• Prescribe various types of treatment including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Responsible for dictation, writing prescription, monitoring treatment plans, etc.
• Ability to lead physician office staff for purposes of planning and accomplishing goals.
