Job Summary:
Genesis Global Group (GGG) is a consortium of entities and institutes, in the fields of biotechnology, hospitality, real-estate investment and development, manufacturing and health care. GGG has multiple locations domestically and internationally. Our Accounting department is comprised of CPAs, bookkeepers and is supported by an in-house legal department. GGG-accounting department is supporting the financial management of all the companies under the GGG umbrella, while each company has a “local” support that communicate with the corporate accounting department. Federal, state and local taxes are being managed by an outside firm.
The Staff Accountant will have contact with senior-level Directors and the CFO, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
Essential Functions:
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Run Financial Reports to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
Supports budget and forecasting activities.
Oversees the accounting function of the various departments within the company (cash flow, billables, payables, budgets, etc.).
Responds to inquiries from the CFO.
Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Job Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required
BA/BS in business with an emphasis in accounting
3-5 years’ experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
Understanding of cost accounting and various state sales tax reporting.
Must have experience running Financial Reports, Balance Sheets, Financial Statements, and Cash Flow.
Must be pc proficient and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting. Experience with MAS200 and other large automated accounting system a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must report to Hamilton office daily – position is not remote.

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) required
CPA is required
