Host - Hostess

The Washington Crossing Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is a high volume and fine dining restaurant seeking experienced and team-oriented candidates for the Host/Hostess position. This is a Part-Time position with a specific shift request of Thursday through Sunday. Candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.   Responsibilities: Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.  Estimate wait times for guests and review guest waiting list.    While guests are waiting, make sure they are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times.   Responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.  When table is available, host/hostess escorts the guests to the dining room.  Writing Floor Plans Assisting patrons with the front door/porch area Assisting Servers with void/comp checks Updating all menus and specials Overseeing staff while on shift Handle the open and closing process Managing the menu on our website Ability to handle conflict management   Physical Demands:Physical, Mental and workplace Environment Conditions The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear The employee is frequently required to stand and walk Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus   Working Conditions: Workplace Environment ConditionsRestaurant environment The noise level in this office is usually moderate to high   Visit us at https://www.genesis-hospitality.com/   Genesis Hospitality is part of Genesis Global Group and is an equal opportunity employer.
