About the Job:
The Psych Nurse Practitioner will work under the supervision of a physician, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site or telehealth clinics, as needed
* Ensure patient progress notes are documented in a clear and concise format, adhering to established standards
* Regularly review cases that require ongoing medical/pharmaceutical attention
* Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as NCCHC standards where applicable
Requirements:
* Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state where the facility is located
* 1 year of direct work experience, preferably in a correctional setting
* Active CPR certification
* Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Collaborative Physician, in accordance with state and federal guidelines
