Job Title: Psych Nurse Practitioner/Mid-level - Part Time - Pamunkey Regional Jail
We are seeking a part-time Psych Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Pamunkey Regional Jail located in Hanover, Virginia.

About this position:
The Psych Nurse Practitioner works under physician supervision in a correctional environment and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and medication management.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state where the facility is located
- 1 year of direct work experience preferred
- Active CPR certification
- Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Collaborative Physician in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site or telehealth chronic care clinics and sick call as needed
- Ensure progress notes are documented in the appropriate format, problem-oriented, correspond to the therapeutic order, and are dated, timed, and legible
- Adhere to the established formulary before using non-formulary medications
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures and NCCHC standards where applicable
- Assist in designating the level of care to be performed and the necessary equipment needed
- Consult with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive adequate care
