Job Summary:
GENESYS Health Alliance is hiring a part-time Psych Nurse Practitioner to work in a correctional environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare setting and possess strong clinical skills.
About the Position:
The Psych Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient care, including assessments, diagnoses, and medication management. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to established protocols.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site or telehealth clinics, as needed
* Document patient progress notes in a clear and concise format
* Regularly review patient cases for ongoing medical/pharmaceutical attention
* Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as NCCHC standards where applicable
Requirements:
* Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state where the facility is located
* 1 year of direct work experience, preferably in a correctional setting
* Active CPR certification
* Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Collaborative Physician, in accordance with state and federal guidelines
