Summary :

The Genesys Cloud Media Services Group is responsible for our cloud-first media and telephony platform. This API consumed platform includes services for voice and video, media control, device management, and business logic. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer that has a strong interest in cloud software development and a propensity for solving problems.

As a Software Engineer in the Media Services Group you will join a team focusing on the development and delivery of business-critical services in a global deployment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where continuous change and innovation are certain. This is an opportunity to lead a team with ownership responsibility for production level service deployments and operations with global reach and maximum customer impact.

What you will do :

Collaborate with a team to develop and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant software that will help drive improvements towards the features, reliability, performance, and efficiency of the Genesys Cloud platform.

Contribute to Genesys owned open-source libraries that enable customers to hook into Genesys' WebRTC services, including phone and video conferencing.

Design, build, and troubleshoot client-side services.

Engage in the entire application development lifecycle, including deployment, and support.

Actively participate in code reviews to foster learning and growth amongst the entire team.

Collaborate with other engineering teams, product managers, QA, and UI / UX to deliver features, improve processes, and promote best practices.

Troubleshoot production related issues.

What you will bring to the table :

• Must be able to work for Genesys now and in the future without the need for visa sponsorship.
• 1-2 years software development experience.
• Experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (ie. Angular, React, Vue, Ember).
• Experience developing JavaScript or TypeScript-based web applications.
• Experience writing, debugging, and optimizing asynchronous code.
• Experience with version control systems (git).
• Ability and willingness to rapidly learn new software, frameworks, open source tools and development languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree and related work experience.

Compensation :

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

93,200.00 - $173,200.00
