Hotel Front Desk Associate
We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and motivated individual for the position of Hotel Front Desk Associate. The position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent organization, communication skills, and detail.
This position is responsible for efficiently checking a guest in or out of the hotel in a professional, friendly and competent manner. The associate must exceed guest expectations and resolve issues at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Enthusiastically greet and welcome guest upon arrival and throughout their stay
- Create memorable experiences with a warm, friendly and welcoming personality that can relate to guests and associates
- Registers guests into the Hotel in a prompt and courteous manner
- Check-out guest, processing payments according to hotel procedures and policies; inquiring about the guest experience to assure the satisfaction of their stay.
- Promotes hotel services and facilities. Provides guests with information such as local attractions and directions.
- Listen carefully and follow up on guest requests. Handle and resolve guest problems or complaints using standards operating procedures.
- Maintains a house bank and keeps an accurate report of daily receipts and deposits
- Handle hotel emergency procedures and situations with maturity and professionalism
- Complete knowledge of all hotel rates and promotions
- Ensures that the front desk area is clean, organized, visually appealing, and well-stocked with all necessary supplies.
- Properly compiles, completes, and distributes reports to all management and relevant staff
- Reports any maintenance, security, or safety issues to the appropriate staff
- Takes on additional duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Knowledge of reservations and property management system
- General knowledge of front office operations at a hotel
- Computer experience
- Ability to communicate, verbally, and in writing, effectively with guests and co-workers; respond to guest requests
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule AM/PM including weekends and holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 37 per week
