Geneva On The Lake in Geneva, 1001 LOCHLAND RD, 14456, GENEVA, NY is looking for a line cook to join our team. We are located on 1001 Lochland Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon high tea, Sunday brunch, catering and events. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a flair for creating delicious dishes, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Ensure food is prepared promptly and according to order specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Chef
- Adhere to proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in catering events and special functions as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 37 per week
