Overview
POSITION AVAILIABLE: Field Diesel Mechanic - Concrete Paving
LOCATION: Individual will travel and work with crews to maintain Concrete Paving fleet.
DUTIES: Repairs trucks, trailers, loaders, various paving equipment and other pieces of heavy equipment including concrete pavers, batch plants in a safe manner. Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of experience as a Mechanic. Knowledge and training in heavy equipment (yellow iron, including Cat and John Deere) and truck maintenance procedures. Individual must have a current medical card and a CDL with tank endorsement (Class A CDL is preferred, B is acceptable). Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to operate computerized troubleshooting programs from laptop in the field. Welding experience is necessary.
The successful candidate must be safety conscious with a record of working safely in the workplace.
