How You Can Make an Impact
Geneva Trading is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in Chicago. In this role, you will gain comprehensive exposure to the financial operations of a derivatives trading business and collaborate closely with team members to solve key business challenges. The accounting team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the firm's financial assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, along with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
What You'll Do
- Execute T 1 daily trading income reconciliations and report firm P&L to senior management and ownership.
- Engage in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes for global entities, gaining broad exposure.
- Generate trader P&L statements and address any related queries from traders.
- Participate in annual audits and tax processes across all US entities.
- Collaborate with the financial accounting team to ensure smooth and efficient business funding.
- Support trade and transaction reporting, as well as margin and risk management activities.
- Partner with shared services teams to enhance the overall trader experience.
- Lead and manage ad hoc and special projects as assigned.
