Position Objective
Farm Systems is looking for a part time Inventory Specialist in Brookings, SD. The successful candidate will facilitate acquisition and dispersal of inventory while maximizing efficiency and perform inventory control for FARM SYSTEMS.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- All automatically generated purchase orders, including scheduled and miscellaneous.
- Capital job and parts orders, and pace daily emergency orders for inventory.
- Data entry as required to facilitate inventory movement (transfer orders).
- Pick and stage orders for internal customers with transfer paperwork and part numbers.
- Assist with physical inventory audits of Farmstead main inventory and service truck inventory and assist staff with yearly physical counts on all warehouses with reconciliation
- Maintain vendor relations and consolidations to facilitate maximum discounts
- Supply price updates to all Farmstead staff and work with Global IT to process major price updates
Qualifications
- A degree in Agricultural, Business or General Studies or 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with good communication skills
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and duties successfully to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to grow and develop both personally and professionally
