As an Accounting Specialist with GENEX, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s financial health. You’ll work closely with management and cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate financial reporting, process transactions, and optimize financial workflows.

As an Accounting Specialist with GENEX, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s financial health. You’ll work closely with management and cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate financial reporting, process transactions, and optimize financial workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Assist in monthly and yearly financial close processes, including account reconciliations, accruals, and inventory valuation.
- Cash Management: Process cash receipts, credit card payments, and ACH transactions while improving efficiencies in cash application processes.
- Contract & Data Management: Maintain contract-related documentation and ensure accurate tracking of expiration dates.
- Master Data Oversight: Manage customer, vendor, and member data while supporting equity payments.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Research discrepancies, conduct cycle counts, and work with field staff to ensure accuracy.
- Audit Support: Assist with audit processes by organizing and providing necessary documentation.
- Collaboration & Compliance: Work with finance and other departments to maintain a strong internal control environment while fostering a positive, team-driven culture.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Background in accounting, finance, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years previous relevant work experience preferred
