Job Summary
Genezen is dedicated to bringing therapies for unmet medical needs to patients. In doing so, each function in Genezen is directly or indirectly responsible for the lives of patients. State-of-the-art facilities are required to meet cGMP and EH&S requirements to develop and manufacture quality products and Facilities is a major contributor supporting these activities.
The Facilities Technician I is responsible for performing all necessary tasks associated with the maintenance of the utilities and equipment used to develop and manufacture quality products and services to support these activities.

The Facilities Technician I is responsible for performing all necessary tasks associated with the maintenance of the utilities and equipment used to develop and manufacture quality products and services to support these activities.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform all related tasks associated with daily checklists and inspections of utility spaces and equipment
- Perform monitoring, ordering, and replacement of compressed gas cylinders such as oxygen and CO2
- Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment and utility systems with guidance from the Facilities Manager and Sr. Facilities Technicians
- Coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance activities with owning departments
- Work with an electronic maintenance management system to document work activities, as necessary
- Point of contact with contractors and outside service providers performing preventative onsite preventative and corrective maintenance
- Adaptability required as work schedule may change based on business needs.
- Criminal background check required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Positive attitude, service oriented, and willingness / ability to perform tasks deemed essential
- Attention to detail and an ability to see jobs through to completion
- Relevant trade skills such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC a plus
- Proven experience operating and maintaining building support functions is a plus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to meet the following physical demands:
- Regularly sit for long periods of time
- Frequently required to stand; sit; walk; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Frequently utilize close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Frequently required to communicate by talking, hearing, using telephone and e-mail
