Job Summary
The Facilities Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining the state-of-the-art facilities that support the development and manufacturing of quality products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing daily checklists, monitoring utilities and equipment, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and EH&S requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality of utility spaces and equipment.
- Monitor and replace compressed gas cylinders, including oxygen and CO2, as needed.
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance of equipment and utility systems under the guidance of the Facilities Manager and Sr. Facilities Technicians.
- Coordinate with owning departments to facilitate corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
- Document work activities using an electronic maintenance management system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and outside service providers performing maintenance services.
Special Requirements:
- Adaptability is essential due to changing work schedules based on business needs.
- A criminal background check is required for this position.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Education and Certifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude is a must.
- A positive attitude, service-oriented mindset, and ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
- Attention to detail and the ability to complete jobs through to completion are critical.
- Relevant trade skills, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, are a plus.
- Experience operating and maintaining building support functions is also beneficial.
