Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics and hospice care. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, assisting with patient assessments, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Your role is crucial in delivering effective care to patients with diverse needs, including those requiring infectious disease management and durable medical equipment (DME) support.

Duties

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems such as Athenahealth.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols during all procedures.
• Support patients in hospice care by providing emotional support and comfort measures.
• Perform coding for insurance purposes as necessary.

Experience

• A valid LPN license is required.
• Previous experience in a clinical or hospice setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Athenahealth, is a plus.
• Knowledge of coding processes related to patient care is beneficial.
• Experience in managing patients with infectious diseases or those requiring DME is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lift and assist patients as needed are essential.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety is crucial for this role.

Pay: $1,300.00 - $1,313.00 per week
