Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems such as Athenahealth.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols during all procedures.
- Support patients in hospice care by providing emotional support and comfort measures.
- Perform coding for insurance purposes as necessary.
Experience
- A valid LPN license is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospice setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Athenahealth, is a plus.
- Knowledge of coding processes related to patient care is beneficial.
- Experience in managing patients with infectious diseases or those requiring DME is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lift and assist patients as needed are essential.
