LPN Corrections - Santa Fe, NM - 3x12s Wed-Fri Opening

$44-$47/hr - 36 hour week - Breakdown includes untaxable taxable hourly

• Shift Details: day shift opening 3x12s 6a-6:30p wed-fri; every other weekend requirement
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with chance to extend

LPN Requirements:

• NM or compact License
• BLS
• 2 years LPN experience

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients while adhering to healthcare protocols and standards.

Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
- Assist with patient assessments and document patient symptoms, progress, and concerns
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform basic life support procedures in emergency situations
- Conduct phlebotomy and venipuncture for laboratory testing
- Assist with family planning services and educate patients on reproductive health
- Provide wound care, dressings, and sterile processing as needed
- Administer injections and immunizations as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and activities of daily living
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols

Experience:
- Must have a valid state LPN license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN
- Proficient in administering medications
- Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices
