Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in various settings, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Perform specialized procedures such as spinal taps when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and care provided.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities by implementing tailored care strategies.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Proven experience in pediatrics or relevant nursing specialties is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
- Experience in operating room (OR) settings or CT procedures is a plus.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients.
- Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine is beneficial but not required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an advantage.
