Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care settings and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care. As an RN in the ICU, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for critically ill patients. This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and laboratory results.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Participate in sterile processing procedures as needed to ensure a safe environment.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing students and new staff members.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in an ICU or critical care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with basic life support (BLS) protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with dermal fillers is advantageous but not required.
- Previous experience in home care or pediatric nursing is beneficial.
- Strong teaching skills for educating patients, families, and nursing staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
