$75/hour blended rate

Pay Breakdown:

• Hourly stipend: $50/hr
• Hourly taxable: $25/hr

• 5 years RN Supervisor Mother/Baby and L&D experience

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing high-quality care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of hospital medicine, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Duties

• Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and newborns throughout the labor process.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Conduct vital signs checks and document changes in patient conditions accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning for new mothers.
• Provide education and support to families regarding labor processes, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Perform critical care procedures as needed, including gastric lavage and venipuncture.
• Assist in ventilating patients when necessary and ensure proper inhalation techniques are followed.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with hospital protocols.

Requirements

• Current RN license with relevant certifications in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Experience in critical care or related fields is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hospital systems for patient documentation and management.
• Strong understanding of discharge planning processes.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in nursing practices related to labor and delivery.
