Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Acute Care to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an RN in Acute Care, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals experiencing acute medical conditions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and recovery of patients.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and intravenous therapies.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist with procedures related to ostomy care, memory care, and other specialized nursing tasks as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical office procedures and hospital medicine practices.
- Experience in urgent care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medication administration protocols.
- Ability to administer injections safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong critical thinking skills to assess patient needs swiftly and accurately.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on empathy and support.
