POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursing Home Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Timely communication to physicians, families, etc. of significant changes in resident condition
- Complete all applicable resident assessments
- Complete medication administration while following the 5 Rights
- Perform wound care and assessments as needed
- Assist CNAs with answering call lights
- Monitor residents for changes in condition
- Act as leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed
- Report any allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation to Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Maintain accurate resident records with thorough and accurate charting
- Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – Required qualifications to effectively perform job. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree in nursing preferred.
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- 1 years of related work experience preferred.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.`
