We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to work on a travel assignment with our client in Southfield, Michigan.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients with a variety of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and bronchodilators as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout the treatment process.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of Michigan.
- 2 years of experience working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
