To-date, Genies has been widely adopted by cultural tastemakers and has partnerships with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group as their rosters’ “official avatar.” Genies has recently launched its consumer arm via its Developer Kit which allows developers to create interoperable avatar experiences for mobile and hardware AR. Their first avatar experience, Silver Studio, allows users to design and exchange digital fashion. Seated in either our Los Angeles based headquarters or San Mateo office, Genies is looking for a contract Senior Fullstack Engineer . The ideal candidate would work well in teams, be comfortable working on a variety of software systems and wearing multiple hats, thrive in complex and ambiguous technology areas that involve the latest technologies that will define. You'll work cross-functionally with our product team as we scale our products and platform, and introduce solutions that will deliver a world-class, one-of-a-kind consumer experience.
What You’ll be Doing :
- Building web systems which connect our users and customers with our core technologies such as AI driven Smart Avatars, Game development systems, Art authoring systems
- Helping to expand accessibility of our web architecture to non-fullstack engineers.
- Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and / or systems
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming and software engineering across the full-stack
- Produce high-quality code with good test coverage, using modern abstractions and frameworks
- Drive a high standard for software maintainability, quality, resiliency, and performance

The actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including : professional background, training, transferable skills, work experience, education, location, business and product needs, and market demand. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time employees may also be eligible for equity compensation, in addition to a robust health, wellness, and benefits package.
Starting Salary Range : $175,000 - $225,000 if annualized (6 month contract)
Preferred Primary Location : Commuting distance to San Mateo or Los Angeles. This is a hybrid position that requires a minimum in office 2 days a week
