Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of network installation and MDF/IDF techniques, as well as proficiency in using various hand tools and testing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling systems.
- Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connections for optimal network performance.
- Conduct field service operations, including the setup and configuration of network devices.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to verify cable integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.
- Document all work performed, including installation details and any issues encountered during service calls.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in low voltage cabling and telecommunications is preferred.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and practices is essential.
- Previous experience in field service roles will be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel to job sites.
