Indirect Loan Officer - Full Time

Position Purpose 

The primary focus of this position is to work within a centralized lending environment for decision requests for credit in both a home and office setting. In addition, the focus will include working on indirect loan applications when deemed necessary. This position will work closely with management to ensure consistency and quality in all aspects of indirect lending. 

Job Duties (include but not limited to):  

• Maintain reliable internet and computer connection to carry out indirect lending responsibilities from a home setting. 
• Analyze loan data on indirect automobile and recreational vehicle loans, including credit bureau data and other financial data. 
• Approve/deny loan applications within assigned lending limits. 
• Analyze loan data on new or refinanced loans, including credit bureau data and other financial data as provided by the member. 
• Provide advice and assistance to Call Center and Branch employees regarding loans for members. 
• Assist with the training of loan officers, branch employees, and Call Center employees ,and the evaluation of their lending skills.  
• Audit loans to ensure quality and accuracy. 
• Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:  

• Associates Degree preferred 
• Minimum of two years financial and/or lending experience preferred 
• Knowledge of Credit Union loan services, policies, and procedures.  
• Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards, and required loan documentation.  
• Knowledge of consumer lending practices.

• Good judgment and analytical skills.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as loan policy manual, credit reports, income tax forms and pay stubs
