Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and educational development of each child
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and social interaction
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to engage students in the learning process
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Foster a love of learning and curiosity in students
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate curriculum and school-wide events
Skills:
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child welfare guidelines and best practices
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students on an individual level
- Experience working with students who require additional support or intervention
