What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at GeniusMesh?
The role is targeting solely folks from residential services – distributed fleet across broad areas/regions, techs/sales reps that need to be trained and managed, and oversight of multiple Branch or General Managers, etc. This is a manage-the-manager role, where a primary/key focus is working with other P&L owners (the General Managers could be called branch managers or something else in another business). The Company is looking to optimize significant route-based (fleet) elements, with 50-150 employees moving around a region in a ton of company vehicles between multiple appointments on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Primary POC for General Managers, assisting with residential customer issues and orders and training managers on complaint resolution, technician misconduct, and disciplinary actions.
- Support staffing decisions, including interviewing, hiring, training, and terminations.
- Mentor managers on training field staff, reviewing technician performance, conducting ride-along, and providing technical/sales training.
- Oversee daily operations, enforcing safety culture, vehicle maintenance, and KPI tracking.
- Implement and execute sales training, ensuring managers train technicians on the sales process.
- Manage inventory and fleet, optimizing schedules, reviewing invoices, sales orders, and lead management.
- Oversee financial processes, including accounts receivable, deposits, and adherence to company procedures.
- Liaison between GMs and executives, driving process standardization and operational goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a General Manager type of role.
- High school diploma/Some college recommended; supplemented by five or more years of proven sales experience estimating, bidding, and closing deals directly with customers.
- Must have two or more years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
