The Director, Medical Communication and Publications will be an essential leader and responsible for driving the medical communications and publications strategy and activities across the Hematology portfolio. The individual will lead the Hematology medical communications and publications team and play an integral role in driving strategy development, planning, and execution of high-quality scientific publications across Genmab's Hematology portfolio. This role will work closely with other functions and departments, including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, CORE (Center of outcomes research, real world evidence, and epidemiology), Biostatistics, Commercial, Translational & Quantitative Sciences, and external collaborators to implement the medical communications strategy. Functioning as a member of the Global Medical Affairs department, this individual will report to the Senior Director of Medical Communications and Publications.
We have a hybrid model, and onsite presence is required 60% (3 days / week) of the time in Plainsboro, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Hematology Medical Communications team and provide expertise to the matrix team in developing and executing the medical communication plan.
- Strong leadership presence and the ability to work effectively with other clinical and scientific experts at Genmab.
- Global perspective and mindset; ability to work effectively with colleagues and key stakeholders across cultures, backgrounds, and geographies.
- Drive the development, implementation, and execution of a global medical communication and publication plan.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on publication-related matters establishing strong working closely with both internal and external disease-area experts to ensure high quality analysis, interpretation, communication, and publication planning of data.
- In development of a strategic publication plan, the individual will 1) collaborate with cross-functional, key global stakeholders 2) anticipate risks and identify solutions for publication planning with publication team members 3) recognize changes in the healthcare and treatment landscape and adjust publication / communication plans in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and strategic oversight to team members, including direct reports
- Manage annual budget and work within allocated resources, ensuring contracts, SOWs and invoices are submitted accurately and in a timely manner to ensure high quality deliverables.
- Liaise with agency / vendor partners to ensure timely delivery of quality publication by providing direction, reviewing developed content, and ensuring process is consistent with Genmab SOPs.
- Bring subject matter expertise in discussions regarding the creation or updates to departmental SOPs improving / modifying processes and procedures helping to achieve organizational goals.
- Be open, engaging, and transparent. The individual should also be comfortable with conflict and able to push back when needed.

182,400.00 $273,600.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
