What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist Technician position at GENNTE Technologies?

Duties:
- Provide excellent eye care at the hospital and in village clinics.
- Provides outpatient care for patients of all ages with eye related disorders and conditions.
- Provides complete documentation of exam in EHR including anterior and posterior evaluations of the eyes, dilates eyes when appropriate, orders and completes additional office procedures when appropriate, prescribes medication/glasses/contact lenses/vision aids/therapy, completes assessment and plan, patient education among others.
- Practices optometry to the full scope of licensure.
- Consults with other health care practitioners for co-management of eye diseases and systemic conditions.
- Refers patients to trusted specialists as needed and follows up on results and reports.
- Educates patients on proper eye care including eye hygiene and safety.
- Has excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Willing to be flexible with their time, although off hours are rare.
- Ability to adapt to and accept variable situations that may impact care delivery.
- Works well under variable conditions and in a rural area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $141,440.00 - $187,200.00 per year
