What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant (Recruiting Focus) position at Genpak LLC?
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Coordinator
FLSA STATUS: Salary Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: This role will focus on recruiting and talent acquisition, supporting our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment and will be responsible for supporting Human Resource functions for a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
. Source and screen candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, referrals, etc.)
. Assist with the interview process, including scheduling
. Manage the applicant tracking system and maintain accurate candidate records
. Extend offers of employment and handle post-offer processing
. Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires
. Provide general administrative support to the HR Coordinator, including filing, payroll, attendance tracking and maintaining records in the HRIS system
. Assist with employee relations matters, such as addressing inquiries and resolving issues
. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
. Support other HR initiatives as needed, such as Benefits Administration, and Workers Compensation
. Understanding and demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and understanding of regulatory requirements associated with privacy
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
. 2 years of experience in Human Resources Recruitment and Talent acquisition
. Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and sourcing techniques
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
. Ability to prioritize multi-task duties without loss of efficiency or composure
