POSITION SUMMARY :
The Application Product Manager is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Company’s diverse range of supply chain logistics technologies. He / She is responsible for assisting in implementation, integrations, deployment training, and enhancement requirements of all customer-facing applications. Understanding and championing our solutions to enable and improve business processes. This position is expected to be the Super User of a variety of applications, including Turvo, CRM, Carrier Trading Tools, Telematics Tracking Applications, Reporting Applications, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the company's TMS Super-user.
- Will develop and implement development training on applications for the entire organization.
- Uses his / her strong knowledge of how the TMS functions, and how it can be configured and delivered to better facilitate business processes.
- Analyzes data to provide resolution or / or solutions based on business requirements.
- Assesses business needs that fall outside the standard solution, integration complexity, and architecture constraints. Provides proposed solutions.
- Prepares and delivers presentations and training for users, management, and executive-level audiences.
- Researches new features, functions, and products relating to TMS and all other customer-facing applications.
- Advises on logistics industry best practices and process methodology
- Estimates scope of project and effort of task level implementation; recommends appropriate action items.
- Escalates / resolves issues & tickets with internal customer and hired vendor.
- Performs UAT prior to deployments, resolves roadblocks.
- Creates and delivers reports for different departments using TMS data.
- Leads weekly meetings with Vendors on Enhancement / Issues – pushing for resolutions and timelines
- Takes initiative and leads various new product implementations.
- Collaborates across all departments to bridge the gap between technology and operations proposals.
- Relies on his / her logistics background in an IT environment to implement and improve processes for the company as a whole.
