This is not a remote role and you must be based within commutable distance of Rutherford, New Jersey. Must have experience in supply chain and logistics.
The Sales Executive - Brokerage at Genpro Inc. is a sales-focused role crucial for driving revenue growth by acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts. This position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record in sales, ideally within the transportation brokerage or logistics industry. You will leverage your sales expertise, competitive spirit, and forward-thinking approach to identify, solicit, and secure new clients while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Experience in the logistics/transportation industry is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively seek out and engage new business prospects through focused lead generation and targeted outreach efforts including cold calling, networking, and other opportunity prospecting methods
- Develops new business by identifying potential new customers and growing revenue, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing the customer’s supply chain with decision makers and other appropriate customer representatives, analyzing customer needs, and developing and implementing value-added solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with essential clients and stakeholders to gain insights into their requirements and provide customized solutions.
- Evaluate a customer’s current transportation requirement and determine transportation solutions that best meet the customers’ needs.
- Set pricing targets and coordinate pricing with the Carrier Team.
- Visit prospective and existing customers at their corporate headquarters or other sites as needed. Requires ability to travel to customer sites to meet customer needs
- Perform various activities related to Opportunity Management and monitoring the health of the account which includes, but is not limited to, Customer KPI review, revenue quality monitoring, watching for additional opportunities, contract and pay terms review to ensure adherence to agreement
- Meet with customers and prospective customers to discuss viable opportunities in an effort to understand their business needs, identify scope, submit a proposal, finalize the contract and win the business
- Perform comprehensive market research and analysis to uncover trends and opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4 years of experience in a Sales position with a proven track record of success.
- 2 years of experience selling in the Logistics/Supply Chain industry, strongly preferred.
- An innate ability to build strong relationships with businesses and decision makers.
- Strong written & oral communication skills.
