POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager - Broker at Genpro Inc. is a sales-focused role crucial for driving revenue growth by acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts. This position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record in sales, ideally within the transportation brokerage or logistics industry. You will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and delivering tailored transportation solutions that align with customer needs while driving company profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, prospecting, and cold calling.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to uncover industry trends and potential growth areas.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding clients’ logistics challenges and providing tailored solutions.
- Conduct regular client meetings, both virtual and on-site, to assess needs, ensure satisfaction, and explore additional business opportunities.
Logistics & Freight Solutions Strategy
- Analyze customers’ transportation requirements and propose logistics solutions that optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Carrier Team to set pricing strategies that are competitive and profitable.
- Monitor and evaluate customer account performance, ensuring compliance with contracts, KPI expectations, and service agreements.
Strategic Sales Execution & Market Expansion
- Develop customized sales presentations and proposals to win new business.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with new and existing clients.
- Actively explore cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize account value.
- Identify and pursue new verticals or market segments with growth potential.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze sales performance, revenue metrics, and customer engagement to refine strategies.
- Provide insights on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Adapt sales tactics to align with evolving industry demands and customer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Minimum 3-6 years in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation sales.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing long-term client partnerships.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of freight brokerage operations, pricing strategies, and supply chain logistics.
- Negotiation & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess challenges and implement effective, value-driven logistics solutions.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems, logistics software, and data analysis tools.
- Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel to client locations for business development and relationship management.
