Tableau Developer

Genpro is looking for a Tableau Developer to join their team and in this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful dashboards that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will leverage your SQL and data-wrangling expertise to prepare and transform data for analysis and reporting, creating impactful visualizations that drive key business decisions.

The Ideal candidate must be within commuting distance to the Rutherford, New Jersey, office. This is a contract position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Dashboard Development:

• Translate business requirements into visually compelling and interactive Tableau dashboards.
• Design and develop dashboards using various chart types, filters, actions, and calculations.
• Connect to and integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud platforms.
• Implement best practices for data visualization and storytelling to communicate insights effectively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analysis needs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for dashboards and data visualizations.
• Stay up to date with the latest Tableau features and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience (5 years) designing and developing dashboards in Tableau.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in writing complex calculations and LOD expressions in Tableau.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Proven experience in data wrangling, cleaning, and preparation techniques.
• Experience connecting to various data sources, including SQL databases and cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
