Job Summary:
The Eating Disorder Dietitian is a critical member of the Genpsych Eating Disorder leadership and clinical teams. Our preferred candidate will work collaboratively with all disciplines to achieve the best care for our clients at our ED facilities at Brick, Livingston and Princeton.
Job Description
- Complete comprehensive eating disorder nutrition assessments and follow up consultations for our clients
- Creation of individualized care plans, including meal plans, supplement recommendations, behavior change skills and nutrition education resources
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals to support the client’s needs and treatment
- Help clients in recovery through meal support, meal preparation, nutrition support groups, and sessions with family members
- Provide therapeutic interventions such as intuitive eating principles, body image counseling, and mindfulness practices
- Manage schedule and case load
- Document thoroughly using the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- At least a bachelor’s degree in a foods and nutrition related field.
- A registered dietitian
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a treatment facility with eating disorder population a plus.
- Strong communication skills amongst clients and within all necessary departments.
