GenRenew is looking for a dedicated Commercial Electricial Foreman to expand our Commercial Install team in New Jersey. Essential Job Functions:
- Prior to the start of a project, evaluate job sites and electrical infrastructure, participate in pre-construction planning to review plans and coordinate schedules, staffing and resource needs for the project
- During construction, lead and facilitate code compliant electrical work on solar projects (this work will include installing wiring, conduit, enclosures, switch gear, lighting, main service replacements, sub panels, and transformers)
- Coordinate utility shutdowns and complete line side connections
- Test and commission electrical equipment
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning solar systems and electrical components
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all project members
- Ensure electrical code compliance as related to solar installations and inspections
- Complete tasks safely, correctly and on schedule
- Ensure electrical PPE, tools and equipment assigned are maintained in good working condition or replaced as required

Competencies:
- Demonstrate integrity and a proactive approach to work situations
- Experience reading blueprints, plans and manufacturer specs
- Effective management and teamwork skills
- Proficiency using computers
- Experience implementing quality control standards and assessing safety hazards to ensure job site safety and satisfy OSHA requirements
- Safely operate a motor vehicle
- Education/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Commercial electrical experience required
- Working knowledge of local electrical codes as they relate to solar installations and inspection compliance
- Can lift up to 50-100 lbs. and comfortable working from elevated environments
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
- Work outdoors in wide range of temperatures and weather conditions
- Stand for 6-10 hours per day
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
