Service Writer

Job Duties

· Receive quote requests from Technicians or directly from customers and follow-up if necessary for additional information

· Enter all quotes into QuoteWerks/SalesForce and keep customer information in GoldMine/SalesForce up to date

· Monitor backlog of quote requests and turnaround within 1-2 days of receipt

· Research parts/labor required for repair and associated pricing and, if necessary, review with technician or customer

· Apply standard material mark-ups and labor rates or receive approval for adjusted pricing

· Send quote to customer and follow-up within 2-3 days using QuoteWerks/SalesForce alarms

· When quotes are won, alert Parts Coordinator to open up job and order parts

· Monitor QR backlog of submitted but still pending quotes and keep < 90 days

· Re-submit pending quotes after 90 days in backlog

· Review job profitability monthly and identify/correct estimation errors

Competencies

· Understanding of diesel/natural gas engines, generators, and electrical components

· Strong communication skills

· Organized and detail orientated

Key Training Topics

· Knowledge of all boards in Automated Service and QuoteWerks/Salesforce

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
