What You Will Do
- Delve into topic areas and explore market research to find meaningful, actionable, target insights
- Conduct qualitative research relating to audience perceptions, communities, culture and places
- Collaborate with design leaders on converting insights into breakout strategies to form the foundation leading design approach
- Join in the development of a wide range of presentations, including playing an integral role in the organization and articulation of key findings, big ideas, and novel brand integrations
- Prepare for and participate in site visits, kick-off meetings, client presentations and other externally-facing sessions
- Contribute to the development / writing of compelling, persuasive, credible messaging – from initial storytelling to content to collateral to final case studies
- Help bring holistic brand experiences to life through thoughtful and creative ideation, and a realistic understanding of resource requirements
- Juggle and prioritizing multiple projects and responsibilities
- Develop workplans, budgets, scopes and schedules to establish the approach for clients engagement.
- Engage in staffing and operational discussions at the studio level to ensure long term business performance and day to day operations are successful
- Lead conversations with client on behalf of Gensler as the point of contact for brand and strategy oriented work.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, communications, anthropology or other strategy-related field
- 10 years experience related to crafting brand strategy brand narratives
- 5 years managing projects, developing proposals and engaging clients in new opportunity discussions
- Experience drawing insights from qualitative and quantitative research and ability to clearly communicate your ideas
- Creative problem-solving, ideation and brainstorming techniques and skills
- Strong copywriting talent and/or storytelling and written communication skills
- Entrepreneurially minded – the ability to balance the process and operating model of Gensler and our clients, with an unquenchable desire to re-invent
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic who can toggle between independent projects and collaborations easily in a fast-paced environment
- Relentless curiosity matched by thoroughness and attention to detail
- Availability to travel if necessary
