What are the responsibilities and job description for the Azure Cloud Architect (no C2C or sponsorship) position at GenTech Associates?
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Azure Architect will be advising agency on architecture and security concerns associated with Azure including in-place migrations/refactoring.
- Architect will need to make recommendations on lift and shift and on-premise to cloud native migrations.
- Architect will need to make recommendations with refactoring within Azure environment.
- Architect will need to conduct testing within Azure to show minimal viable product of an architecture.
- Architect will need to understand available offerings from COV, MSI and other connected parties.
- Architect will make configurations to Azure in support of agency-level objectives. Configurations will be primarily to Azure-based services.
- Architect will need to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

- Azure Cloud Fundamentals: 5 years (Required)
- with Azure network and storage architectures: 5 years (Required)
- with Azure Services (examples Azure Key Vault, Entra ID): 5 years (Required)
- with Azure Functions, Azure Web App/App Service,: 5 years (Required)
- of cloud security principles: 5 years (Required)
- architecting solutions that meet RPO and RTO objectives: 5 years (Required)
- DevOps including Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise Cloud: 5 years (Required)
- in data storage products like SQL Server, Oracle: 5 years (Required)
- as a on-premise architect: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Microsoft Certification in Azure Solutions Architect (Required)
