Job Summary
As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and will be responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Key Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
Maintain a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient areas, changing linens, and emptying trash
Assist patients with light meals and snacks, and provide hydration as needed
Assist patients with ambulation and transfer to wheelchairs or walkers
Report any changes in patient condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team
Requirements
Current CNA certification in good standing
6 months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology settings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and families
