Position Overview :
As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant, you will :
- Report to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager Senior, while functioning under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Clinical Supervisor.
- Assist patients in maintaining good personal hygiene and a safe, healthy environment.
- Prepare and serve light meals, aiding with patient feeding as necessary.
- Support patients with ambulation and the safe use of mobility aids.
- Engage in light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean home setting.
- Participate in prescribed treatments as outlined in the aide plan of care, per state regulations.
- Engage patients mentally through activities of interest, providing emotional and psychological support to both patients and families.
- Communicate any changes in the patient's condition to the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team promptly.
- Guide the primary caregiver in basic care techniques.
- Implement infection control measures and ensure accurate documentation of services provided.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
