What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Gentle Care Animal Hospital?
Gentle Care Animal Hospital is looking for a veterinary technician to join our high quality, energetic, and positive team! We are a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice that is dedicated to providing the best medical and surgical care for our patients. The focus of our practice includes all aspects of companion animal medicine and surgery. Proudly we were the Clinic of the Year for 2019 Memphis Most, and nominated top five again in the year of 2020, and top three finalist in 2024!
We are looking for a full time veterinary technician who is able to help us continue to provide gentle, compassionate care to our patients. Duties include: helping the doctor(s) in exam rooms, patient and client communications and education, prepare and assist in surgery, monitor anesthesia, animal restraint, venipuncture, medication administration, perform clinical laboratory procedures, radiographs, and hospital maintenance duties. The ideal candidate for this position will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, a team player and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Certified or highly experienced candidates will be give preferential consideration. Benefits and 401k eligibility are available, compensation will vary depending on the individual’s experience.
